Vocabulary I

GLOSSARY

ABSTRACT:

Kind of art which the main subject is distorted and simplified, demonstrating it in a brief manner

BACKGROUND:

Is the part from a picture that, normally, does not have the main attention of the viewer, and it seems to be farthest.

CONTENT:

This is what the artist or photographer wants to express, might is an idea, a message or feelings.

CONTRAST:

Is the difference between two or more elements, could be the lightest or the darkest parts of a picture.

ELEMENTS OF ART:

Parts of the work made by using any type of picture

HUE:

Refers to the name of the color.

INTENSITY:
It refers to the brightness of a color, it can be also called chroma or saturation.

LINE:

A series of points that make a figure, it can take any form or direction

MIDDLE GROUND:

Area of dimensional characters, between foreground and background.

MONOCHROMATIC:

The color scheme involving the name of the color, this last one can vary depending on the value or intensity.

This is a photograph of the “Popocatepetl”, one of the most famous volcano in Mexico City and all Mexico, in those times (not much time) I was visiting my family, and I saw that structure, I knew about its existence but certainly I got shocked when I take that image.

My uncle told me that recently the volcano had has much activity, nothing to be worried about.

It was enormous that gigantic cloud which the volcano spit by its “mouth”. That photo has not many time since I take it, might I was 15 years old.
